While the use of face masks have become a daily part of our lives, for people with hearing loss, that also means an increased difficulty in communicating on a daily basis. Regular face masks muffle people’s voices, prevent lip reading, and can lead to confidentiality issues in places like the pharmacy or doctors offices if personnel have to continue to raise their voice to communicate. We started the Safe and Clear Campaign earlier this summer to promote the use of clear face masks and shields to help make the community more accessible. As face masks are now required in public places, the demand for clear masks and shields have gone up exponentially. Your donation allows us to continue this program and to provide safe and accessible face coverings to the community in need!
