Give the gift of Accessibility this #GivingTuesday
Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday… now we have #GivingTuesday! Take part in the biggest global giving day!
This will be our 5th year participating in the #GivingTuesday movement. On #GivingTuesday, the Hear Québec team will be strategically placed around the city giving out accessible masks to all. The team will be spread throughout the city at places such as McGill’s downtown campus and City Hall. Our goal is to give the gift of accessibility to the community and raise awareness about the importance of accessibility for the hard of hearing community and how accessibility promotes inclusion.
We are challenging ourselves this year to give out 500 accessible masks to the community. We would love to have you join this challenge! If you would like to join us at one of our locations, we would love to have you help distribute the masks! We also welcome you to distribute masks at a location of your own choosing; we will give you a free box of accessible masks to give out to your community. If you are interested in distributing masks, please fill out this form by Sunday November 28th.
The first 12 people to donate $25 or more for #GivingTuesday will also receive a free box of accessible masks!
This year, #GivingTuesday is not only the international day of giving; it is the kickoff of a special 12 day campaign that will connect and inspire us to spread the spirit of generosity far and wide as we pay it forward to the community. Stay tuned for more information on the 12 Days of Gifting!
As we begin to recover from the pandemic and start to join in community again, generosity is what will bring people together. We have all felt the weight of increased isolation and disconnection from our loved ones and communities. This year, we feel it is particularly important to bring the community together in new ways that both connect us with each other and allow us to give back to those around us.
